The Nichols School, an independent college preparatory school, is undergoing significant improvements throughout their historic campus. A|r has been selected to design the ambitious projects and oversee construction.

Two new artificial turf fields and associated green spaces were successfully completed in 2007 and during the summer 2008 recess the site circulation component, unifying the campus and the surrounding community, with be completed.

The new Math, Science and IT Building design focuses on blending together the school's mission of academic spaces are bordered by student computer alcoves, resources libraries and study areas, creating a dynamic educational experience. In accordance with the schools green initiative, while not certified, it was designed to LEED for Schools standards. This project received the Design Excellence Award from the BUffalo/WNY AIA.
