Project Location: North Tonawanda, NY
East Hill Foundation is a small philanthropic organization supporting local education and environmental initiatives. This series of projects consolidated several remote offices into an existing maritime focused site in North Tonawanda, NY where the Erie Canal meets the Niagara River. The new offices are located in a converted boat workshop enhancing qualities of the original structure while creating efficient work, meeting and collaboration spaces. Additions for meeting space, mechanical services and a light filled entry put a fresh face on this exciting structure. In keeping with the foundation’s mission the project includes several sustainable design elements including radiant floor heating, permeable landscape surfaces, rainwater management, and interior daylighting.
