Project Location: Buffalo, NY
Buffalo Psychiatric Center is a 156-bed adult behavioral health facility providing a collection of inpatient, outpatient, residential and vocational services on campus. An expansion of services on campus is currently underway, which will allow for the creation of state of the art behavioral health services for 46 children and adolescent beds to be located on one unified campus. A|r provided design services for the new facilities, including secure state of the art living units, recreation, education and family engagement spaces. The project includes the design of private, secure outdoor recreation space and separate entrances for patients and families. Extensive community and stakeholder outreach efforts communicated design, goals, and process.
