Design Brief

Project Location: Buffalo, NY

A|r was invited to collaborate on the design a new television and film studio that will help to grow Buffalo’s reputation as a destination television and movie production location.

This full-service facility is expected to provide a considerable boost to the local filmmaking industry in Buffalo. Large indoor spaces will allow crews to stay long-term, or film ongoing series year-round. The new studio will draw talent, provide a valuable resource for local college and university filmmaking programs, and contribute to the local economy by creating a new base for the industry.

The complex is composed of two 20,000 sf stages and 70,000 sf of office and support space which will be built in two phases with an expected completion date in the Fall of 2021. The Niagara Street Studio will be the second studio complex under construction for Great Point Capital and is anticipating numerous television companies as tenants into the newly built spaces.
