Project Location: Utah
Inspired by the Jordan River that links Utah Lake with the Great Salt Lake, the Jordan River residential project is not only a study in subtle design but one in efficiency of non-leasable residential space. Perched on the high river bank of the Jordan River the structure is a modest four stories tall to minimize its stature on the landscape similar to that of the river which subtly winds its way unnoticed between the lakes. The façade features continuous balconies that undulate in elevation and plan in a pattern similar to that of the mountains that they view upon. These balconies cover create private outdoor space for the occupants within who’s units all have views to the river to the West and Mountains to the east. A single corridor on the third floor provides the only non-leasable space in the project allowing for grander units and amenities for the residents.
