Project Location: Buffalo, NY
The A|r team was selected by the University of Buffalo to provide programming, design and FFE selection services for a new multisport Division 1A NCAA level Sports Performance Center, to be constructed adjacent to the recently completed Murchie Family Fieldhouse on the University’s North Campus.
Our team began with an exploration of functional, quality space to enhance the athletic training experience within the university context. Together with project representatives, our team developed a space program to optimize functionality and accommodate various user requirements.
Enhanced connectivity and visibility were essential design drivers. An upper mezzanine within the facility allows for views back to the interior of UB’s stadium, while the orientation of the building provides a prominent corner facing Alumni Arena, increasing visibility to activity taking place within the building. *This project was designed in collaboration with RDG Planning & Design
